Furnaces
The furnace that has to work on the first cold night
A Cypress furnace sits quiet through a long cooling season, then a front comes through and it is expected to light. ACE repairs, services and replaces furnaces out of 19518 Cypress Church Rd, with the price given before any work begins.
Chapter 01
Why will a furnace not light, or not stay lit?
Ignition and pilot failures are the call ACE hears most from furnace owners. Behind them come short cycling, blower motor faults, thermostat problems, weak or uneven heat from the vents, and unusual noises when the burners start.
The one a homeowner cannot see is a cracked heat exchanger, which is why ACE inspects for cracks and tests carbon monoxide rather than waiting for a symptom. If your carbon monoxide alarm has sounded or you smell gas, leave the house first and call from outside.
None of these are guesses to be tried in order. Each has a part behind it, and the visit is built to find which part before anything is replaced.

How a furnace repair visit runs
Every furnace repair includes carbon monoxide and safety-control testing. Ignition, the blower, the thermostat and the limit and safety controls are worked through on the furnace itself, under the service manager, Josh Bockel, who is himself an HVAC certified technician.
You hear the cause and the price before the repair starts, on a 2 a.m. call the same as a midday one. When a furnace is past another repair, ACE installs Trane furnaces and the Armstrong Air line, and the three Armstrong Air models are set out in the ledger below. ACE holds Texas licence TACLB 135382E.
Chapter 03
What an early-fall tune-up covers
Book the furnace visit in early fall, while the first cold front is still a forecast and not a no-heat call.
The visit covers burner cleaning, gas pressure adjustment, safety control and limit switch testing, a heat exchanger inspection for cracks or corrosion, electrical connections, thermostat calibration, and flue and ventilation checks. It is the same list a failed furnace would have exposed, found on a calm afternoon.
Comfort Club members pay from $12.95 a month and get priority service on all calls. The ACE Precision Tune-up is one of the plan's listed benefits.

If the unit in your house both heats and cools, it is a heat pump, and it keeps its own schedule on the heat pump page. If the trouble is the summer side, start with air conditioning, and the Comfort Club covers both seasons.
